The exiles have finally reached the top spot in Dorset & Wilts west 3 this week with a 22 points to 13 win over Midsomer Norton IV. Tries from Dan Holdsworth, Ben coombes and Fletcher Unwin. Despite a very rocky start the exiles resorted back to basic rugby and with simple moves, the back line dominated the day's game. Good sight from Dave Wright at fly half exposed the oppositions lack of cover in their back line and punished them with plenty of high balls which allowed for centres' ben Coombes and Jonah wright to chase on and aid in scoring the tries.
The forwards appeared to struggle at the outset, being pushed back in the scrums by a more experienced pack but soon came up to usual standard. Their counter rucking and mauling was on excellent form and their mobilty in getting to breakdowns was also good.
Winger Daniel Holdsworth was awarded man of the match for outstanding effort and perseverance throughout the game.
Exiles are now at the top of the table by 2 clear points.

Warminster pulled out of the saturday arrangement so a friendly was organised against local team, the Tottonians, fromTotton. The first half was tightly matched with the barbarians holding the opposition in their own half. Despite the territorial advantage it was the away team who opened the score line.
